Parabellum is a Los Angeles-based leather goods company making some of the finest and most unique products on the market today.
We see our leather goods as functional art, and we are proud of the local, micro supply chain through which they are produced. By combining true master craftsmanship, exceptional materials, and meticulous, innovative design, we make products that last forever and get better with use.
PARABELLUM x American Prairie Reserve
How can we be saving bison when our products are made from bison leather, you ask? Simple. Our leather goods are made using only byproduct hides from the organic meat industry. As the popularity of ranch-raised bison meat continues to grow in the U.S., there is an increasing supply of these leftover hides. Before Parabellum, the hides were typically discarded or tanned in very small quantities. We recognized the true potential, though, in the naturally durable, aesthetically complex, and uniquely soft leather. Today, we use this holistic, sustainable supply to create our full line of fine leather goods.
But we wanted to do more. So, in 2015, we partnered with American Prairie Reserve, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation and rehabilitation of prairie habitat and species. 5% of all sales will go toward the organization’s effort to create the largest park in the continental United States on the Great Plains of northeastern Montana. The reclamation of this uniquely American ecosystem directly aids the reintroduction and growth of native wildlife that call the biome home. Rebounding from the brink of extinction, the bison is one such species, as the park, once complete, will be home to the largest protected herd since the 1800s. We are proud to support American Prairie Reserve’s essential ecological endeavor.
