Since 2008, we have been producing small lots of exceptional leather goods by hand in L.A., using bison leather and technical ceramic hardware. Our focus is on quality, integrity and real creative innovation. We make bags, belts, work gear and accessories for some of the most discerning customers in the world, all of which get better with age and use. Our bison leather is deeply textured, extremely soft and unbelievably durable. There are no raw edges here; all edges on all items are hand skived, hand turned or hand painted, creating soft leather goods that will last forever. We are a ‘product first’ company, constantly evolving methods to deliver exceptional goods to our customers in the most efficient way possible. In 2013 we were named finalists for the CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund. In 2015 we cut our prices in half by focusing on the direct to consumer distribution model. Our value proposition is simple; an ethical, domestic supply chain producing the finest luxury leather goods in the world, and delivering them to our loyal customers at a reasonable price.

PARABELLUM x American Prairie Reserve

How can we be saving bison when our products are made from bison leather, you ask? Simple. Our leather goods are made using only byproduct hides from the bison meat industry. 150 years ago, when plentiful, bison hides were in high demand all over the world because they are so beautiful, strong and unique. As the popularity of ranch-raised bison meat continues to grow in the U.S., there is an increasing supply of these leftover hides. Before Parabellum, most of these hides were being turned into fertilizer. We recognized their true potential, though, and put together a domestic micro supply chain to source, tan and work these hides into our full line of fine leather goods.

But we wanted to do more. So, we partnered with American Prairie Reserve, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation and rehabilitation of prairie habitat and species. 5% of our online sales (i.e.: your purchase) will go toward the organization’s effort to create the largest park in the continental United States on the Great Plains of northeastern Montana. The reclamation of this uniquely American ecosystem directly aids the reintroduction and growth of native wildlife that call the biome home. Rebounding from the brink of extinction, the bison is one such species, as the park, once complete, will be home to the largest protected herd since the 1800s. We are proud to support American Prairie Reserve’s essential ecological endeavor.
